Smooth radio producer, deputy station manager for Fly Live and part of the Bauer news mentorship scheme

Currently, I am a third year student from Nottingham Trent University, studying Broadcast Journalism and looking for some experience in my desired field as I am aware of how competitive this industry is. I am based in Bristol (my home) or Nottingham, however, I am willing to travel. I am open to any experience, including being a runner or even do some presenting, producing, camera work, scripting etc- anything to let me see the working environment of my dream career.

I have a strong work ethic, enthusiasm and a real drive for this career and I will work as hard as I can to make this dream become a reality.

I am Friday producer for Smooth Radio East Midlands and I also work for BBC Radio Nottingham, giving content ideas for their Sunday womens show. Fortunately, I was able to appear on BBC The One Show to ask Ant and Dec a question on getting into my desired industry- an amazing oppurtunity.

Furthermore, I auditioned for a radio station in Nottingham called FlyLive where I was given a 2 hour drive time show. I thoroughly enjoyed planning and broadcasting the show, where I kept listeners engaged through topics and quizzes, which they could get involved in through Twitter.

Throughout my first year at university, I have realised how much fuel and drive I have for journalism. I can't wait to push myself, to grow and learn more skills to become a well rounded successful journalist.

This year I had my own show at a station in my home called SomerValley Fm, there I got to learn amazing skills from working alongside BBC Radio 1, Greatest Hits and Rock FM's Seb Bailey, I loved my time at Somervalley FM and have been invited back to have my own show again this Christmas.

2022
My 2 hour drive time for FlyLive cut down to 4mins, from your Bex Bit of the week, , Bexflix and chill, are there more wheels or doors, discussing those things that feel embarrassing when they simply aren't and the all important mental health link.
Shadowing The Graham Norton show at Virgin Radio

This was a sensational day, I got to meet the amazing team and learn so much about the art of presenting and producing. Producer Mick Meadows and assistant producer Polly Marquis who taught me so much too, I came home with a very full notebook!
The One Show
My debut on The One Show with Ant and Dec, whereby, I got to ask them a question on getting into the industry. I was over the moon to their response to my video saying, "She's got it", "She's got it already" and Alex Jones saying "Wow she's good".
Contact
Due to the competitive industry my chosen career path is in, I would love some more experience in the journalistic, radio and tv field to help me stand out against my competition, to develop skills in my desired field, whilst being an environment filled by inspiring professionals.

Any opportunities which arise, I will take and as a perfectionist and enthusiastic individual, I will work to my best ability. I am always looking for ways to improve my skills and learn new ones.

I am based in Nottingham for university or Bristol, however, I am willing to travel.
